What is Six Sigma?
Six Sigma is a business management strategy, originally
developed by Motorola, that today enjoys widespread application
in many sectors of industry. Six Sigma seeks to identify
and remove the causes of defects and errors in manufacturing
and business processes.It uses a set of quality management
methods, including statistical methods, and creates a special
infrastructure of people within the organization ("Green
Belts, Black Belts" etc.) who are experts in these
methods. Each Six Sigma project carried out within an organization
follows a defined sequence of steps and has quantified financial
targets (cost reduction or profit increase).

Sigma Green Belt
The Green belt course provides a detailed understanding
of six sigma's DMAIC Methodology. DMAIC is the acronym for
the five phased approach used ie. Define, Measure, Analyse,
Improve, Control. This program combines concepts, assignments,
tips, case studies, and exams. All participants are issued
a certificate on clearing the exam. An online version of
the program is also available.
Learn to effectively apply the elements and methods of
Six Sigma. Understand how to use tools and techniques relating
to the DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve, and control)
methodology.
 Learn about:
- Project charter
- Voice of the customer (VOC)
- Quality function deployment (QFD)
- Pareto charts
- Critical to quality
- Cause and effect diagrams
- Scatter diagrams
- Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
- Sampling
- Design of experiments (DOE)
 Analysis of variance (ANOVA)- Hypothesis testing
- Control charts
In this course, you will also learn how to apply the DMAIC methodology. You
will learn how to define, plan, implement, and close a Six
Sigma project.
